Placing a feathered-in ramp over the existing sidewalk is not OK.
Thank You, Steve
From: Gary Swett [mailto:garyswett(cyahoo.com]
Sent: Friday, August 23, 2013 2:04 PM
To: Steve Miller
Subject: Entry 2918 Hoyt Ave.
Steve,
We talked yesterday about resolving our height problem between the store and sidewalk.
The solution is to meet ADA requirements. It consists of insetting the door 36", creating a
vestibule 1 1/2" higher than the sidewalk. The resolution of grades will occur within 24"
of the exterior of the building. This is a compound slope and we will feather it into the
sidewalk
north-south and east toward the street. Note the justification of grade is only on the north side
as the south edge of the door planes with the sidewalk as proposed.
The plan is to pour our slab Tuesday Aug. 27, 2 PM. I trust our solution on the grade is OK.
Thanks, Gary
i
