Steve Miller Oct. 4, 2013
Building Dept.
City of Everett
425 257-7264
Steve,
I'm submitting some changes to our project at 2918 Hoyt Ave.
iz1C -- coy
1. Window sizes on the east wall of the store have been
changed.
2. The new sizes are: Large bay 2 @ 50 x 64"H
Small bay 2 @ 50 x 70" H.
3. An entry vestibule has been created to resolve the grade
difference between the sidewalk and store floor, a difference
of 3". (See attached drawing). The glass sides of the previous
vestibule are replaced with an open handrail.
Resolving the grade difference can be handled in the
following manner. Place the door 8" to the interior of the
store as indicated. Screed concrete to transition from
sidewalk grade to level grade at door sill (transition happens
within property line). Create a ramp within the store vestibule
which goes from 0" to 3" in 3'. Since the ramp will terminate
at the door, we will install an automatic ADA door opener
inside and outside the entrance so the door will be open when
an ADA customer enters and exits the building.
4. Framing for the interior soffit on store east wall is 2x4"
instead of the 2x8 indicated on print.
5. Roof gutter behind parapet is enclosed by 2x4 framing with
3/4" plywood sheathing. Gutter race is covered with ice
shield then galvanized sheet metal pan which carries the
same volume of water previously specified. The sheet metal
pan is fitted with two soldered end caps and downspout on
north corner.
