Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to <br /> the 2009 International Building Code (IBC), as amended by the State of Washington <br /> and/or the Washington State Energy Code, 2009 edition, unless noted otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two sets of drawings reflecting the corrections <br /> requested. <br /> Construction <br /> 1) In order to provide a one-hour rated separation around elevator machine room 129, the lid <br /> and structure supporting the structure should be shown as minimum one-hour fire-resistive <br /> construction. Please note however that the room is not required to be fire-rated per <br /> Exception 7 to Section 708.2. Section 708.14 <br /> i) A detail should be provided that shows the fire-resistive construction assembly at the <br /> wall to floor juncture. <br /> 2) The conference rooms 214 and 215 together have an occupant load of greater than 50 and <br /> should be shown as a Group A Occupancy on the plans: <br /> i) All egress doors leading from that room to the exterior exit doors should be shown <br /> with panic hardware. Section 1008.1.10 <br /> ii) The location and nomenclature of the maximum occupant load sign should be shown <br /> on the plans. Section 1004.3 <br /> iii) Exit signs should be shown at each egress door leading from the room to the exterior <br /> exit doors. Section 1011.1 <br /> iv) Emergency lighting should be shown within the room and each path leading to the <br /> exterior exit doors as well as immediately adjacent to the exterior exit doors on the <br /> exterior of the building.
