Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> (2009 International Building Code,) (2009 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2009 Edition, and adopted by the <br /> City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide sections and/or details to clearly show how the proposed guards meet the <br /> requirements of Section R312 International Residential Code (IRC). <br /> 2. Provide section drawing at ledger. Specify length of galvanized lag bolt. Show what <br /> ledger is attaching to. <br /> 3. Concrete walls in conditioned spaces are required to be insulated on the interior with R- <br /> 21 insulation or on the exterior with R-10. Exterior insulation (rigid) is required to go <br /> from the top of the concrete stem wall to the top of the footing. Insulation above grade <br /> is required to be protected from impact and exposure to ultra-violet light. NOTE: If R- <br /> 10 rigid insulation is used on the exterior, then the rigid insulation under the slab-on- <br /> grade is not required. <br /> 4. Provide 110 volt smoke alarms in all sleeping rooms and in the corridor or area giving <br /> access to each separate sleeping area. Show all smoke alarms on plans.
