i i Geotechnical Engineering Evaluation NGA File No.870113 Packer Property March 11,2013 Retaining Walls and Steep Slope Evaluation Page 2 Everett,Washington The recent events involved the steep slopes on the neighbor's property and the portion of the ravine immediately below the lower western block wall on the Packer property. We have been informed that somewhat similar landslide events occurred within this area in December 1996 and March 2005, The City of Everett has determined that the walls were constructed without a permit and have requested a geotechnical evaluation of the retaining walls and the overall stability of the slope. The purpose of this report is to provide recommendations for improving site conditions to satisfy the City's concerns. The existing site conditions are shown on the Schematic Site Plan in Figure 2.
