Place <br />top rail on these batusters. Holding rails against posts, de�ennine end spacing rnaking sure end <br />spacing is even 6etween the post and balusters_ Hald swivel stair mounts up a;Qainst posts and <br />beside the rails to determin� where the rails are to bti cut to fit inside the swiv+�l stair maunts. I'date: <br />this will vary depending upon the angi� of the stairs. Cut rails at 90 degree straighi cut. <br />Crossover Raitin�: Cut bottom rail same as above_ Far top rail, make sure crossover connector is <br />set at proper angle_ NTark rail to cut making sure it fits snug into the crossover cannector. (Note: <br />Crossover post and connector will ne�tl to be installed first to determine what length the rail will <br />be cut}. Cut rails at 90 degree straight cut. <br />Bottom swivel mount base is to be positioned so the bottom rail has approximately 1" clearance <br />from the nose af the step. (Note: a 1" spacer may be placed on the nose af the step to reach the <br />1"clearance.) Attach top bracket to post. Measure up 32 1/4" (for 36" tall railing) or 38 1/4" (for 42" tall railing} <br />from tap af the bottor€� swivel base �o the tr�p of the top swive� base. Keep bas� Qf bracket centered <br />and fasten base to post with self-tapping screws (pravided). <br />3.
