CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 8-14.3(3)A Curb Ramp <br /> Install Curb Ramp Type A, B, C, or D as the case may be at locations shown on <br /> the Plans. <br /> ' Construct the gutter grade the width of the detectable warning surface to maintain <br /> existing drainage and at a grade of less than 2%. <br /> Construct monolithic depressed curb and sidewalk as indicated on COE Standard <br /> Drawing No. 310A, 310B, 310C, 310D, and 311. Construct curb ramps separate <br /> from the sidewalk to produce a definite break line between the ramp and the <br /> sidewalk. Install a 3/8-inch non-extruded through joint material between the curb <br /> ' and the sidewalk with edging as specified in Section 8-14.3(3). <br /> Brush-finish the triangular shaped sidewing areas with brushing direction being <br /> perpendicular to the curb face. Brush-finish the landing area with brushing <br /> ' direction parallel to the detectable warning surface. Do NOT extend the adjacent <br /> sidewalk. <br /> Provide concrete for curb ramps that is not colored, overlaid or topped. Consider <br /> ' the curb ramps as beginning at a point flush with the gutter flowline and <br /> terminating at a point flush with the sidewalk landing. No lip shall be permitted at <br /> the junction of the gutter flowline and the curb ramp. Include the sloping triangular <br /> shaped sidewings as part of the curb ramp. <br /> ' 8-14.3(4) Curing <br /> Maintain sufficient protective covering on—site, such as waterproof paper or plastic <br /> membrane, to cover an entire day's pour in event of rain or other unsuitable weather. <br /> ' Protect the concrete sidewalk against damage or defacement until Owner has been <br /> accepted the Work. Remove and replace sidewalk that is not acceptable to the <br /> Engineer because of damage or defacement at Contractor's expense. <br /> ' After finishing, spray cement concrete sidewalk using transparent curing compound in <br /> accordance with 5-05.3(13)A of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-14.4 Measurement <br /> Delete all paragraphs in 8-14.4 and substitute the following: <br /> Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be measured as <br /> described in Division B - Bid Item Descriptions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT <br /> AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-14.5 Payment <br /> ' Delete all paragraphs in 8-14.5 and substitute the following: <br /> Payment for Bid items of Work completed pursuant to the Contract Documents will be <br /> as described in Division B - Bid Item Descriptions and Section 1-09 MEASUREMENT <br /> ' AND PAYMENT of the Standard Specifications. <br /> 8-20 ILLUMINATION, TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEMS AND ELECTRICAL <br /> 8-20.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 8-20.3(1) General <br /> Supplement 8-20.3(1) by adding the following: <br /> ' Prior to cutting any loop detector wiring, give a minimum of 3 working days' notice <br /> to City of Everett's Traffic Department at 425-257-7296. <br /> 8-20.3(14) Signal Systems <br /> ' Supplement 8-20.3(14)C by adding the following: <br /> Water Main Replacement"Q" Division 8—MISC CONSTRUCTION July 8, 2016 <br /> -Broadway <br /> ' WO No.—UP3612 SP -169 <br />
