I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS 111 <br /> 4. Type 3 — Submitted for City review and approval. Unless otherwise stated in the <br /> Contract, the Engineer will require up to 20 working days from the date the Working <br /> Drawing is received until it is returned to the Contractor. The Contractor shall obtain <br /> the Engineer's written approval before proceeding with the Work represented by the <br /> 111 <br /> Working Drawing. <br /> 5. Type 3E — Same as a Type 3 Working Drawing with Engineering as described <br /> below. <br /> Supplement 1-05.3 as follows: 111 <br /> The Contract Documents include Plans that show such details as are reasonably <br /> necessary to give a comprehensive understanding of the Work. The Contractor shall <br /> submit alterations affecting the requirements and information in the Plans in writing to <br /> the Engineer for approval prior to performing such Work. <br /> The Engineer may supplement the Plans with additional drawings and explanations, <br /> consistent with the purpose and intent of the original Plans. to detail and illustrate the <br /> Work. The Contractor shall perform the Work according to these supplemental <br /> drawings and explanations. <br /> In addition to supplemental drawings furnished by the Engineer, the Contract <br /> Documents may also be supplemented by Type 1, Type 2 or 2E, and Type 3 or 3E <br /> Working Drawings prepared by the Contractor, material supplier, or manufacturer, <br /> when necessary or as required by the Contract Documents to detail and illustrate <br /> portions of the Work. All types of Working Drawings shall be reviewed by the Engineer <br /> before work pursuant to those Working Drawings is performed. Type 3 and 3E <br /> Working Drawings may include, and not be limited to, shop details, erection plans, <br /> masonry lay-out diagrams, reinforcing steel and bending diagrams, post tensioning <br /> plans, shoring, cribbing, cofferdam, or falsework plans, formwork plans, or hydraulic <br /> items. Type 2 and 2E Working Drawings may include, and not be limited to. Catalog <br /> cuts or standard plans for commonly used manufactured items. <br /> The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of dimensions and details on <br /> Working Drawings, and for complete conformity with the Contract Documents, even if <br /> the Working Drawings have been approved by the Engineer, or if the Contractor and <br /> the Engineer agree on dimensions and details. The City does not accept Working <br /> Drawings as accurate or adequate, and does not take responsibility for, or warrant that <br /> Working Drawings will meet Contract requirements. I <br /> Engineer's review of Working Drawings shall not relieve Contractor from responsibility <br /> for variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless Contractor has <br /> in writing called the Engineer's attention to each such variation at the time of <br /> submission, and the Engineer has given written approval of each such variation by a <br /> specific written notation thereof incorporated in or accompanying the returned Working <br /> Drawing; nor will review by Engineer relieve Contractor from responsibility for errors or <br /> omissions in the Working Drawings or from responsibility for having complied with the <br /> provisions of this section. <br /> Submittal requirements may be found in 1-05.3(1) or elsewhere in these Special <br /> Provisions. <br /> Deviations from Standard Plans will be subject to a Working Drawing submitted by the <br /> Contractor and approved by the Engineer.
