October 5, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., October 5, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, President Murphy presiding. Upon roll call, it was <br /> found that Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 28, 2016, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin reported on her attendance at the Animal <br /> Shelter Advisory Board meeting held last week, and she invited the public <br /> to attend a free TNR (trap/neuter/return) class that will be held this <br /> Sunday, October 9, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at the Everett Animal Shelter. <br /> • Council Member Franklin invited the public to attend the Community <br /> Streets Initiative task force forum to be held on October 25, 6:30 p.m., at <br /> the Historic Everett Theatre. She also announced the Streets Initiative <br /> Flex Fund received a generous contribution from the Henry M. Jackson <br /> Foundation. Council Member Franklin reported on the low-barrier housing <br /> meeting held last evening at Evergreen Middle School and encouraged <br /> citizens to forward comments and concerns. <br /> Council Members thanked Council Member Franklin for her comments <br /> relating to the low-barrier housing meeting. <br /> Council Member Tuohy announced the Public Safety Subcommittee is <br /> scheduled to meet next Wednesday, October 12, at 5:30 p.m. She also <br /> commented on citizen concerns relating to neighborhood safety as a result <br /> of the low-barrier housing project and asked if the City might find <br /> resources to boost safety efforts in this neighborhood. <br /> 312 <br />
