These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested, along with a reduced set of plans no larger than 11"x 17". 1. Provide lateral analysis for wind and seismic loading prepared by a licensed WA state structural engineer. 2. Show how 6 x 12 beams are supported at the existing house. 3. Provide post/beam/post connection detail for 6 x 6 posts supporting new roof. 4. Specify size of existing beam supporting existing deck load and new deck load. Verify gravity loads on existing beam. 5. Provide detail of guard construction showing all components. 6. Provide detail of the connection of the new deck joists to the existing deck structure. Please prepare a response letter showing where each item in this correction letter is addressed on the plan set.
