June 25, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., June 25, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Council Vice President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Gipson, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Anderson were present. Council Member Moore <br /> was excused. <br /> Council Member Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 18, 2014, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH — POLICE CHIEF <br /> Mayor Stephanson introduced Deputy Police Chief Dan Templeman as <br /> the city's new Chief of Police. The Mayor thanked Deputy Chief <br /> Templeman for his service. <br /> Vice President Bader asked the City Attorney if a motion by City Council <br /> was required. City Attorney Iles stated a motion was not required, but <br /> would not be inappropriate. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to approve the appointment of Dan Templeman to the <br /> position of Everett Chief of Police. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oath of office. <br /> 176 <br />
