June 25, 2014 <br /> Chief Templeman thanked the Mayor, City Council, and City <br /> Administration for their support of the Everett Police Department. He also <br /> thanked Chief Atwood for her leadership and mentorship throughout the <br /> years. Chief Templeman introduced family members who were in the <br /> audience and thanked them for their continued support. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council members welcomed and congratulated Chief Dan Templeman as <br /> the new Chief of Police. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the Association of <br /> Washington Cities conference last week. He provided council members <br /> with two documents relating to legislative priorities and the ad hoc freight <br /> rail committee work. <br /> Council Member Anderson stated that he attended, on behalf of the <br /> Mayor, a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the reopening of Bayside <br /> Neighborhood Park and the 20-year birthday for the Bayside P-Patch. <br /> Council Member Bader reported on his attendance at the Goodwill ribbon- <br /> cutting ceremony last Thursday in celebration of Goodwill's new Job <br /> Training & Education Center in south Everett. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning a legal matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)(c). He stated <br /> the session was anticipated to last 15 minutes with no announcement to <br /> follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Cletus Skrabak, Everett, spoke regarding the impacts on citizens as a <br /> result of the increased utility tax. He asked that the city look first at <br /> expenses with an emphasis on a reduction in labor costs. <br /> 177 <br />
