2. Standards and Guidelines <br /> a. Required parking shall be provided on the same site as the principal building or <br /> buildings. <br /> b. Parking shall not be located between the building(s) closest to the street and the <br /> street. <br /> c. Parking may not be located within required setback areas, except: <br /> (1) Parking may be located in the interior side setback area provided it is screened <br /> from abutting properties and direct street view by fencing and/or landscaping at <br /> least five feet in height above the grade of the parking area. <br /> (2) Parking which is located below grade may be located within the required front <br /> or corner side setback area provided it is situated completely below the level of <br /> the abutting sidewalk and the required landscaping can be provided on top of the <br /> below-grade parking structure. <br /> }�y <br /> .F t 4 .tib <br /> -,16114111 <br /> Figure 18. In developments with more than one building on a site, the areas between buildings <br /> shall be used for required open space, and the parking and circulation areas shall be <br /> located at the perimeter of the site. Such access"courtyards"must include special paving <br /> treatment and landscaping elements that enhance the character of the space.
