September 10, 2014 <br /> Bob Jackson, Everett; John Witters, Everett; Jean Murphy, Everett; and <br /> Bill Belshaw, Everett, spoke regarding the Bond Street rail crossing <br /> closure and the loss of access to Forgotten Creek and the waterfront. <br /> Ryan Sass, Traffic Engineering, gave a brief history of the Bond Street <br /> railroad crossing. <br /> Mayor Stephanson stated that he sent a letter to Burlington Northern <br /> Santa Fe in June 2014 asking them not to close the crossing, which they <br /> did anyway. <br /> Considerable discussion ensued. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that the City Council should move forward <br /> in the development of a resolution in support of reopening the Bond Street <br /> railway crossing and reviewed the terms that he thought should be <br /> included in the resolution. <br /> Council President Moore asked for the concurrence of City Council to <br /> allow Council Members Anderson, Stonecipher, and Roberts to work with <br /> Legal to bring back a resolution for viewing.
