May 4, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., May 4, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore <br /> Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll call, it <br /> was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, <br /> Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 27, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson provided an update on a concern presented by the <br /> Northwest Neighborhood residents relating to BNSF railroad noise. <br /> Lead Prosecutor Hil Kaman announced the City of Everett has been <br /> invited to join the White House initiative on data-driven justice on June 13, <br /> 2016. He stated the City will collaborate with other jurisdictions as a result <br /> of the City's successful CHART (Chronic-Utilizer Alternative Response <br /> Team) program and other innovative programs being implemented. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader reported on his attendance at the grand reopening <br /> dedication of Senator Henry M. Jackson Park on Saturday. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher announced the Parks Board will meet next <br /> Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at Spruce Hall, Forest Park. Council <br /> Member Stonecipher thanked Council Vice President Tuohy for chairing <br /> today's Public Safety Subcommittee meeting, and stated she is proud of <br /> the work being done as a result of recommendations by the Community <br /> Streets Initiative task force. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he met with Bob Reese, Sally Cassidy, <br /> and others regarding initiatives in the Casino Road area, which could be <br /> 146 <br />
