9 <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving the sole source purchase of equipment <br /> from.Virtra Systems Inc. to upgrade the V-300 Firearms Training Simulator. <br /> WHEREAS,the City has the need to upgrade the Firearms Training Simulator due to aging and failing <br /> technology; and <br /> WHEREAS,VirTra is the only manufacturer known to provide a multi-screen system necessary to meet the <br /> current Police Department training standard; and <br /> WHEREAS,VirTra only sells these systems directly to the end user,without intermediary distributors or <br /> dealers; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying equipment to upgrade the V- <br /> 300 Firearms Training Simulator; the City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes <br /> the purchase of this equipment from VirTra Systems Inc. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this day of ,2016. <br /> Council President <br /> 48 <br />
