Animal or vegetable greases, oils or matter containing <br /> animal or vegetable grease or oil of any nature in excess <br /> 2 of fifty parts per million, or any petroleum products; <br /> 3 8. Liquid matter with a hydrogen ion concentration below 6.0 <br /> or above 9.0; <br /> 4 <br /> 9. Substances having a strong odor, unpleasant odor; <br /> 5 <br /> 10. Substances which can produce a toxic vapor, including, but <br /> 6 not limited to, chlorinated hydrocarbons; <br /> 7 11 . Food waste which has not been properly shredded so that one <br /> hundred percent will pass a three-eighths-inch sieve and <br /> 8 seventy-five percent pass a one-fourth-inch sieve. Persons <br /> engaged in the retail sale of raw produce shall be limited <br /> 9 to one grinder having a prime mover not exceeding five <br /> horsepower for the processing of raw produce waste; <br /> 10 <br /> 12. Waste matter containing daily maximum metal concentrations <br /> 11 in excess of state and/or federal laws and regulations; <br /> 12 13. Radioactive waste; and <br /> 13 14. Hazardous wastes concentrations in excess of state and/or <br /> federal laws and regulations. <br /> 14 <br /> 15. Any matter which, in the opinion of the Director of Public <br /> 15 Works, might interfere with the satisfactory operation of <br /> any treatment plants or any portion of the sewer system. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 B. Discharge of substances prohibited under Section 17(A) above <br /> 18 shall be referred to as "excess pollutant discharge." In the event that <br /> 19 sewage or other matter having or exceeding the above characteristics is <br /> 20 discharged into the sewer system, in addition to other remedies, including <br /> 21 criminal prosecution, the Public Works Director shall issue a Cease and <br /> 22 Desist Order. Further, the Public Works Director shall investigate the <br /> 23 circumstances of said excess pollutant discharges or sewer system blockages <br /> 24 and estimate the cost of correction and/or treatment of the discharges <br /> 25 during the time the discharges have occurred, and the cost of correction or <br /> 26 treatment of the discharges shall be added to the sewer charges of the <br /> 27 customer discharging the sewage or other matter. The costs shall be <br /> 28 collected in the same manner and procedures as all other sewer rates and <br /> 29 charges, including lien provisions, and shall be subject to adjustment in <br /> 30 accordance with the Utility Billing Supervisor's procedure. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 12 <br />
