1 <br /> 1 All fasteners that are 1/4" or smaller shall be aluminum or stainless steel. All <br /> 2 fasteners larger than '/4' shall be zinc or cadmium plated. No hex head or nut and <br /> 3 bolt type exposed fasteners shall be used. Only bolts with vandal proof nuts shall <br /> 4 be used. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 8-30.3 Construction Requirements <br /> 8 <br /> 9 8-30.3(1) Concrete Pad <br /> 10 <br /> 11 A cement concrete pad shall be installed prior to placement of the shelter. The pad <br /> 12 shall be to the dimensions shown on Standard Plan No. 906 and have Welded <br /> 13 Wire Fabric for reinforcement (WWF 6x6, Ws/Ws). <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Contractor shall construct concrete pad in accordance to COE standard Plan #906. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 <br /> 18 8-30.3(2) Shelter, Bench, Transit Sign & Post, and Garbage Can <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Contractor shall cut and remove existing anchor bolts from the shelter, bench and <br /> 21 transit post. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Contractor shall relocate shelter, bench and transit post to new location as <br /> 24 indicated on plans, or as specified <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Bench is to be secured to the concrete pad, inside the nearside of the shelter, <br /> 27 using appropriate bolts and vandal proof nuts. The slats shall be attached to the <br /> 28 metal legs and straps using stainless steel bolts with vandal proof nuts <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Transit post shall be anchored 5-ft to the far side of the new shelter. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Garbage bin shall be relocated outside of new Concrete Pad. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Contractor shall provide all new anchor bolts, equivalent in size to the existing <br /> 35 ones, in securing shelter, bench, transit sign. Bolt length beyond the vandal proof <br /> 36 nut heads shall be minimized to protect the public. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br /> 39 8-30.4 Measurement <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Measurement for "Bus Shelter Relocation" shall include the removal and relocation of a <br /> 42 shelter, a bench, a transit sign and post. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Measurement for "Bus Shelter Concrete Pad" shall be for each pad placed, including <br /> 45 welded wire fabric and crushed surfacing top course. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 8-30.5 Payment <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-04.1 for each of the following bid <br /> 50 items that are included in the Proposal: ' <br /> 41st STREET TO WMVD FREIGHT <br /> CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS <br /> FED AID#STPUL-9931(012);PW#3472 SP-152 February 10,2016 <br />
