Mr. Murphy asked specifically that the city representatives contact him directly,and not the tenants, regarding the structure. His phone number is 425-239-2191. • Mr. Murphy also stated that he has started work demolishing the porch (without permits). Mr. Murphy is now aware that a building permit is required to repair, replace,or demo a portion or all of the structure. I have not yet done the research yet to determine what the property is previously or historically permitted as, either single family,duplex, or triplex. Mr. Murphy has been given the permit submittal checklists for both, pending the outcome of the research. Although Mr. Murphy stated he had certified the building as a triplex with either the Planning Department or the Historic Commission, he quickly stated that his intention is to either demo the building or board it once I explained minimum building code requirements, depending on which building code applied. Mr. Murphy did not make a decision at the counter,since he has to talk to his wife to confirm.
