1 <br /> 2 6-16.AP6 <br /> 3 Section 6-16, Soldier Pile and Soldier Pile Tieback Walls <br /> 4 January 5, 2015 <br /> 5 6-16.3(2) Submittals <br /> 6 The first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 The Contractor shall submit Type 2 Working Drawings consisting of shop plans as <br /> 9 specified in Section 6-03.3(7) for all structural steel, including the steel soldier piles, and <br /> 10 shall submit Type 2 Working Drawings consisting of shop plans and other details as <br /> 11 specified in Section 6-17.3(3) for permanent ground anchors. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 The second paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 14 <br /> 15 The Contractor shall submit Type 1 Working Drawings consisting of the permanent <br /> 16 ground anchor grout mix design and the procedures for placing the grout. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 The third paragraph (excluding the numbered list) is revised to read: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The Contractor shall submit Type 2E Working Drawings consisting of forming plans for <br /> 21 the concrete fascia panels, as specified in Sections 6-02.3(16) and 6-02.3(17). <br /> 22 <br /> 23 In the fourth paragraph, the first sentence is revised to read: ' <br /> 24 <br /> 25 The Contractor shall submit Type 2 Working Drawings consisting of a shaft installation <br /> 26 plan. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 The last paragraph is deleted. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 6-16.3(3) Shaft Excavation <br /> 31 In the third paragraph, the last sentence is revised to read: <br /> 32 <br /> 33 A temporary casing, slurry, or other methods specified in the shaft installation plan shall <br /> 34 be used if necessary to ensure such safety and stability. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 The fourth paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Where caving in conditions are encountered, no further excavation will be allowed until <br /> 39 the Contractor has implemented the method to prevent ground caving as submitted in <br /> 40 accordance with item 4 of the Shaft Installation Plan. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 The sixth paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 43 <br /> 44 The excavated shaft shall be inspected and receive acceptance by the Engineer prior to <br /> 45 proceeding with construction. <br /> 46 <br /> 47 6-16.3(6)B Temporary Lagging <br /> 48 The second paragraph (up until the colon) is revised to read: <br /> 49 <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE 2014 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 8/3/15 <br />
