1 Unless otherwise required by the owning utility: <br /> 2 <br /> 3 1. Service lateral runs shall be Schedule 80 PVC or Schedule 80 HDPE. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 2. Pole risers shall be Schedule 80 PVC. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 Conduit runs, including outer-duct, that enter the traveled way or shoulders shall be <br /> 8 Schedule 80 HDPE, Schedule 80 PVC, or rigid metal. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Conduit runs, including outer-duct, that do not enter the traveled way or shoulders shall <br /> 11 be Schedule 80 HDPE, Schedule 40 PVC or rigid metal. <br /> 12 <br /> 111 <br /> 13 Flexible metal conduit is allowed only at locations called for in the Plans. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Except as described under Non-Metallic Conduit, unless otherwise indicated in the <br /> 16 Plans or Standard Plans, the same type of conduit shall be used for the entire length of <br /> 17 the run, from outlet to outlet. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Innerduct shall have a smooth wall non ribbed interior surface, with factory pre111 <br /> - <br /> 20 lubricated coating. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Innerduct within the Traveled Way or Shoulders and innerduct which is not factory I <br /> 23 installed shall be Schedule 40 HDPE. The innerduct shall be continuous with no splices. <br /> 24 Innerduct which is pulled into the outer duct in the field shall be installed with an extra 2 <br /> 25 feet of conduit beyond each end of the outer-duct and shall be allowed to finish <br /> 26 contracting for 21 calendar days before it is terminated. Innerduct shall be terminated <br /> 27 with end bells flush to 1A-inch out of the outer-duct and the space between the outer- <br /> 28 duct and innerduct shall be sealed with rodent and moisture resistant foam designed for <br /> 29 this application and installed per manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 8-20.3(8) Wiring <br /> 32 The second sentence in the eleventh paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Every conductor at every wire termination, connector, or device shall have an approved <br /> 35 wire marking sleeve bearing, as its legend, the circuit number indicated in the Contract. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 8-20.3(13)A Light Standards <br /> 38 In the third paragraph, the last sentence of item number 1 is revised to read: <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Conduit shall extend a maximum of 1 inch above the top of the foundation, including <br /> 41 grounding end bushing or end bell bushing. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 In the fourth paragraph, the second sentence of item number 1 is revised to read: <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Conduits shall be cut to a maximum height of 2 inches above the foundation including <br /> 46 grounding end bushing or end bell bushing. <br /> 47 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE 2014 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 8/3/15 <br />
