1 8-23.3(4)E Removal of Pavement Markings <br /> 2 Removal of temporary paint is not required prior to paving; all other temporary <br /> 3 pavement markings shall be removed. 111 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 All temporary pavement markings that are required on the wearing course prior <br /> 6 to construction of permanent pavement markings and are not a part of the <br /> 7 permanent markings shall be completely removed concurrent with or <br /> 8 immediately subsequent to the construction of the permanent pavement <br /> 9 markings. Temporary flexible raised pavement markers on bituminous surface <br /> 10 treatment pavements shall be cut off flush with the surface if their location <br /> 11 conflicts with the alignment of the permanent pavement markings. All other <br /> 12 temporary pavement markings shall be removed in accordance with Section 8- <br /> 13 22.3(6). <br /> 14 <br /> 15 All damage to the permanent Work caused by removing temporary pavement <br /> 16 markings shall be repaired by the Contractor at no additional cost to the <br /> 17 Contracting Agency. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 8-23.4 Measurement <br /> 20 Temporary pavement markings will be measured by the linear foot of each installed line <br /> 21 or grouping of markers, with no deduction for gaps in the line or markers and no <br /> 22 additional measurement for the second application of paint required for long duration1 <br /> 23 paint lines. Short duration and long duration temporary pavement markings will be <br /> 24 measured for the initial installation only. <br /> 25 <br /> 111 <br /> 26 8-23.5 Payment <br /> 27 Payment will be made in accordance with Section 1-04.1, for each of the following Bid <br /> 28 items that are included in the Proposal: <br /> 29 <br /> 30 "Temporary Pavement Marking — Short Duration", per linear foot. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 "Temporary Pavement Marking — Long Duration", per linear foot. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 The unit Contract price per linear foot for"Temporary Pavement Marking —Short <br /> 35 Duration" and "Temporary Pavement Marking — Long Duration" shall be full pay for <br /> 36 all Work. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 9-01.AP9 I <br /> 39 Section 9-01, Portland Cement <br /> 40 August 3, 2015 <br /> 41 9-01.2(3) Low Alkali Cement <br /> 42 This section is revised to read: <br /> 43 <br /> 44 When low alkali portland cement is required, the percentage of alkalies in the cement <br /> 45 shall not exceed 0.60 percent by weight calculated as Na20 plus 0.658 K20.
