The Bidder shall use the <br /> II <br /> 7 Directory of Certified DBE Firms to confirm if a DBE is certified for the <br /> 8 "Description of Work" the Bidder lists on the DBE Utilization Certification form <br /> 9 # 272-056 EF (see form instructions) and therefore qualifies for credit towards <br /> 10 the COA goal. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Crediting DBE Participation <br /> 13 Joint Venture <br /> 14 When a DBE performs as a participant in a joint venture, only that portion of <br /> 15 the total dollar value of the Contract equal to the distinct, clearly defined <br /> 16 portion of the Work that the DBE performs with its own forces shall be I <br /> 17 credited. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 DBE Prime Contractor <br /> 20 A DBE Prime Contractor may only take credit for that portion of the total dollar <br /> 21 value of the Contract equal to the distinct, clearly defined portion of the Work <br /> 22 that the DBE Prime performs with its own forces. <br /> 23 111 <br /> 24 DBE Subcontractor <br /> 25 When a DBE firm participates as a Subcontractor only that portion of the total <br /> 26 dollar value of the Contract equal to the distinct, clearly defined portion of the <br /> 27 Work that the DBE performs with its own forces shall be credited. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 • Include the cost of supplies and materials obtained by the DBE for the <br /> 30 Work in the Contract including supplies purchased or equipment <br /> 31 leased by the DBE. <br /> 32 • However, you may not take credit for supplies, materials, andI <br /> 33 equipment the DBE Subcontractor purchases or leases from the <br /> 34 Prime Contractor or its affiliate. in addition, Work performed by a <br /> 35 DBE, utilizing resources of the Prime Contractor or its affiliates <br /> 36 shall not be credited. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 • In very rare situations, a DBE firm may utilize equipment and/or <br /> 39 personnel from a non-DBE firm other than the Prime Contractor or its <br /> 40 affiliates.
