Section 4. Public Work Under Five Hundred Thousand Dollars <br /> The Mayor or the Mayor's designee is authorized to direct contractors to perform <br /> additional work and to sign Change Orders on a Public Work project where the original <br /> contract value is under five hundred thousand dollars to the extent the sum of the Change <br /> Orders do not exceed twenty percent of the original contract value. <br /> Section 5. Public Work At Least Five Hundred Thousand Dollars and Less Than <br /> One Million Dollars <br /> The Mayor or the Mayor's designee is authorized to direct contractors to perform <br /> additional work and to sign Change Orders on a Public Work project where the original <br /> contract value is at least five hundred thousand dollars and less than one million dollars <br /> to the extent the sum of the Change Orders do not exceed an amount equal to one <br /> hundred thousand dollars plus fifteen percent of the original contract value that exceeds <br /> five hundred thousand dollars. <br /> Section 6. Public Work At Least One Million Dollars and Less Than Five Million <br /> Dollars <br /> The Mayor or the Mayor's designee is authorized to direct contractors to perform <br /> additional work and to sign Change Orders on a Public Work project where the original <br /> contract value of at least one million dollars and less than five million dollars to the <br /> extent the sum of the Change Orders do not exceed an amount equal to one hundred <br /> seventy-five thousand dollars plus ten percent of the original contract value that exceeds <br /> one million dollars. <br /> Section 7. Public Work of At Least Five Million Dollars <br /> City Council may by resolution authorize the Mayor or the Mayor's designee to direct the <br /> contractor to perform additional work and to execute Change Orders for a Public Work <br /> project whose original contract value is at least five million dollars. <br /> Section 8. Time Extensions <br /> The Mayor or the Mayor's designee may extend contract time up to twenty working days <br /> or thirty calendar days without prior Council approval, irrespective of the original <br /> contract value of the Public Work. <br /> Section 9. Exceptions <br /> A. Before or during the course of a particular Public Work, Council may by <br /> resolution authorize different or additional limits for Change Orders or <br /> withdraw the authority granted by this Ordinance. <br /> B. This Ordinance does not apply to Small Works. <br /> Section 10.
