Ordinance No. 2783-04 <br /> An Ordinance relating to go-kart track licensing <br /> regulations, Amending Sections 1 through 6 of <br /> Chapter 26 of Ordinance No. 295-74 .7 <br /> (Chapter 5.104 EMC), and adding a section. <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council has been advised that the industry standard for <br /> go-karts horsepower has increased from four to five and one-half horsepower; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council deems it appropriate to update the City <br /> regulations for go-kart tracks to reflect the current industry standard for horsepower of <br /> go-karts; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council deems it appropriate to update provisions <br /> regarding operating conditions,maintenance and hours of operation of go-kart tracks; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council deems it appropriate to clarify the application <br /> process for a go-kart track license under the City of Everett License Code, and to set fees, <br /> increase liability insurance amounts, and provide for penalties for violations; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Section 1 of Chapter 26 of Ordinance No. 295-74 (EMC 5.104.010), which <br /> reads as follows: <br /> Definitions. <br /> A. "Go-kart track" is a place used for the operation of go-karts for public use and <br /> entertainment. <br /> B. "Go-kart" is a motor propelled, four wheel vehicle of not more than four horsepower <br /> used for the purpose of driving. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Definitions. <br /> A. "Go-kart track" is a place used for the operation of go-karts for public use and <br /> entertainment. <br /> B.
