July 18, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., July 18, 2012 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Gipson, Burke, Stonecipher, <br /> and Affholter were present. Council Members Moore and Hatloe were <br /> excused. <br /> James Robert Deal led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 11, 2012 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson stated that he had the opportunity to thank 74 CERT <br /> volunteers who helped with the 4th of July Parade and other activities. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher, seconded by Council <br /> Member Roberts, to concur with the following appointments: <br /> Civil Service Commission <br /> Appointment of Mary Hale to Position No. 2 for the remainder <br /> of an unexpired term ending December 31, 2013 <br /> Diversity Advisory Board <br /> Appointment of Wanda Smith-Jeter to Position No. 4 for the <br /> remainder of an unexpired term ending September 30, 2013 <br /> Everett Historical Commission <br /> Appointment of Mark Soine to Alternate Position No. 1 for the <br /> remainder of an unexpired term ending December 31, 2016 <br /> 183 <br />
