December 31, 2014 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 <br /> p.m., December 31, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council Member Moore presiding. Upon roll call <br /> it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Member Bader was expected to be a few minutes late. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 24, 2014, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson and wished everyone a Happy New Year. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council members echoed the Mayor's comments and wished citizens, <br /> staff, and colleagues a Happy New Year. <br /> Council members thanked President Moore for his service and leadership <br /> for the past two years. <br /> President Moore commented that he today he was using a 45-year-old <br /> gavel that was presented to his father, William E. Moore, in 1969. He <br /> stated it was an emotional moment, and that it was an honor to serve the <br /> citizens and each of the council members for the past two years. <br /> Vice President Bader entered the council chambers and presented <br /> President Moore, on behalf of the Everett City Council and others, with a <br /> plaque in recognition of his service as City Council President. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> 380 <br />
