December 12, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., December 12, 2012 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Hatloe, Gipson, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Affholter were present. <br /> Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the December 5, 2012 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Members Moore and Hatloe abstained from <br /> the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson thanked everyone who turned out last night for the <br /> holiday reception recognizing the boards and commissions members. He <br /> noted that the Fourth Annual Wintertide will be held tomorrow night. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Hatloe responded to an inquiry made at last week's city <br /> council meeting regarding his residency. He stated that he and his wife <br /> have been living in Everett with their son since their home sold last July. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked all of the city's volunteers. He also <br /> thanked Deb Williams for hosting the city council potluck this afternoon. <br /> He encouraged everyone to purchase their Christmas gifts from local <br /> merchants. <br /> Council President Gipson commented that since his presidency is coming <br /> to an end, he will be working to clean off his desk over the next two weeks <br /> and placing items on the agenda. <br /> SELECTION PROCEDURES - COUNCIL POSITION NO. 3 <br /> President Gipson stated that each council member will be provided a <br /> packet with a complete set of names, letters and resumes by 5 p.m., <br /> 345 <br />
