February 25, 2015 <br /> Appointment of Angela Stahl to Position No. 5 for a two-year term <br /> beginning March 1, 2015, and ending February 28, 2017. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Stephanson conveyed his best wishes to Council Member <br /> Stonecipher for a speedy recovery. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts also wished a speedy recovery to Council <br /> Member Stonecipher. He expressed appreciation to Mayor Stephanson, <br /> Economic Alliance Snohomish County, and others representing <br /> Snohomish County who provided testimony in Olympia on Sound Transit <br /> and transportation measures. Council Member Roberts reported on his <br /> attendance at the AWC legislative conference last week and stated <br /> materials from that conference would be made available through Council <br /> Administrator Deb Williams. Council Member Roberts also provided a <br /> summary of a letter that was provided to all council members for <br /> signature, which urges approval of a lease agreement for a two-gate <br /> terminal at Paine Field. This matter is scheduled before the Snohomish <br /> County Council next Monday. <br /> Council Member Gipson asked if there would be a vote on the letter <br /> concerning Paine Field or if only a signature was required. Council <br /> Member Roberts responded that a vote would not be required. <br /> Council Member Moore thanked Council Member Roberts and Council <br /> President Bader for preparing the packet concerning Paine Field, which <br /> he stated was vital to our economic future. He also provided a liaison <br /> report on his attendance at the Joint Tulalip Water Board. <br /> Council Member Tuohy commented on communication received from <br /> citizens regarding the Streets Initiative and the homeless population.
