February 25, 2015 <br /> announced that an Affordable Housing Breakfast Forum is scheduled for <br /> next Thursday, March 5, 2015, in the Weyerhaeuser Room at 7:30 a.m. <br /> She encouraged citizens to join her for this event. <br /> Council Member Murphy added his best wishes to Council Member <br /> Stonecipher for a speedy recovery. He reminded everyone that a Lodging <br /> Tax Advisory Committee meeting would be held on Wednesday, March 4, <br /> 2015, 11:45 a.m., in the City Council Chambers, which is open to the <br /> public. Council Member Murphy also provided a liaison report on his <br /> attendance at the Snohomish Health District Board retreat that was held <br /> earlier this month. <br /> President Bader also extended well wishes for a speedy recovery to <br /> Council Member Stonecipher. He thanked Council Member Roberts for <br /> his leadership and acknowledged others for their work in developing the <br /> letter to the Snohomish County Council regarding Paine Field. President <br /> Bader provided an update on his attendance at the Council of <br /> Neighborhoods meeting that was held on Monday afternoon. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Deputy City Attorney David Hall announced there would be no executive <br /> session today. He responded to a question raised last week by Council <br /> Member Stonecipher concerning the Streets Initiative committees and <br /> policy-making. Mr. Hall provided an update on the ongoing work being <br /> done by the Streets Initiative task force. He clarified that the task force is <br /> comprised of work groups and not committees and that all <br /> recommendations requiring a policy decision would be brought to the City <br /> Council for action. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Sylvia Anderson, CEO, Everett Gospel Mission, spoke about the <br /> encampment near the mission. She stated that as a result of ongoing <br /> work being done by the Streets Initiative project, a program was <br /> implemented this morning that offered homeless individuals housing <br /> solutions. <br /> 50 <br />
