February 25, 2015 <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO. 1502-04 <br /> THIRD AND FINAL READING: <br /> AN ORDINANCE adding the "North Broadway Urban Center" to <br /> the Multiple Family Property Tax Exemption program, and <br /> amending Ordinance No. 2347-98, as amended (EMC Chapter <br /> 3.78) <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member Moore, <br /> that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council Bill No. <br /> 1502-04 and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance. <br /> AYES: Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Gipson, Bader, Tuohy <br /> NAYS: None <br /> EXCUSED: Stonecipher <br /> Ordinance No. 3428-15 adopted. <br /> ACTION ITEMS: <br /> RESOLUTION — ESTABLISHMENT OF A WASHINGTON STATE <br /> UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL <br /> WSU Chancellor Bob Drewel provided background information from an <br /> Everett position, and he introduced Dr. Lisa Brown, senior chancellor at <br /> WSU Spokane. <br /> Chancellor Brown spoke about the shortage of primary care providers in <br /> Washington State, particularly primary physicians. She provided <br /> information about the proposed community-based model that will serve <br /> the entire state. <br /> Citizen Mike Westman, Everett, spoke regarding the need to encourage <br /> more doctors to practice in outlying areas. <br /> 53 <br />
