March 11, 2015 <br /> Dave Ramstad, Everett, spoke in opposition to the potential destruction of <br /> four heritage buildings on Hewitt Avenue to allow for the construction of a <br /> Snohomish County parking garage. <br /> Mayor Stephanson clarified that no decisions have been made regarding <br /> the construction of a parking structure, and that the City is still in <br /> negotiations with Snohomish County as a result of an ordinance passed <br /> that requires a plan for parking in conjunction with the construction of any <br /> new large building. <br /> Allan Giffen explained the process for the proposed demolition of any <br /> historic building, which is covered in the Everett Downtown Plan. <br /> Andrea Tucker, President of Historic Everett, also spoke in opposition to <br /> the potential destruction of historic buildings on Hewitt Avenue. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Moore, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION - CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 6831 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the city of Everett in the amount of <br /> $1,027,060.09 for the period of February 21, 2015 through <br /> February 27, 2015. <br /> RESOLUTION — PAYROLL <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 6832 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved payroll claims against the city of Everett in the amount <br /> of$3,421,605.71 for the period ending February 21, 2015. <br /> 62 <br />
