ORDINANCE NO. 3754-1 9 An Ordinance Amending the Comprehensive Plan related to the Mukilteo School District, and Adding a Comprehensive Plan Zoning Table Reference related to Certain Rezone Contracts, Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No.2021-94,As Amended WHEREAS,the City of Everett adopted a Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and • WHEREAS,the City of Everett adopted the 10 year update to the Comprehensive Plan, in conformance with the Washington Growth Management Act on March 30, 2007; and WHEREAS,the Growth Management Act, codified as Chapter 36.70A, allows for comprehensive plans to be amended on an annual basis; and WHEREAS,the City of Everett initiated its 2010-2011 annual Comprehensive Plan amendment process in July, 2010, which included consideration of text changes initiated by public service purveyors and the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS,the Mukilteo School District seeks to update its current Capital Facilities Plan with a new 2010-2015 Plan, and to have that Plan adopted by reference into the current Everett Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS,the Everett Planning Commission sponsored a docket item to address historic rezone contracts to make them consistent with the underlying Comprehensive Plan map designation; and WHEREAS,the Everett Planning Commission held a public hearing on the two proposed Comprehensive Plan text amendments on November 16, 2010, at which time the Commission • heard and considered public testimony, staff presentations, and considered the various aspects of the proposals; and WHEREAS, at the November 16, 2010 public hearing, after taking into consideration public and staff input,the Everett Planning Commission did recommend to City Council that the referenced Comprehensive Plan text amendments be approved; and - 1 -
