the original contract value that exceeds five million dollars. <br /> Section 2. Section 8 of Ordinance No. 2761-04 (EMC 3.80.050(G)), which reads as follows: <br /> Time Extensions <br /> The mayor or the mayor's designee may extend contract time up to twenty working days <br /> or thirty calendar days without prior council approval, irrespective of the original contract <br /> value of the public work. <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Time Extensions <br /> The Mayor or the Mayor's designee may extend contract time up to thirty working days <br /> or forty five calendar days per Change Order without prior Council approval, irrespective <br /> of the original contract value of the public work; provided, that the total of Change Order <br /> time extensions shall not,without prior Council approval, extend contract time by more <br /> than(a)fifty percent of the original contract time, (b)thirty working days, or(c) forty <br /> five calendar days, whichever of(a), (b) and (c) is greatest. <br /> Section 3. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 2761-04 (EMC 3.80.080(H)), which reads as follows: <br /> Exceptions <br /> A. Before or during the course of a particular Public Work, Council may by <br /> resolution authorize different or additional limits for Change Orders or <br /> withdraw the authority granted by this Ordinance. <br /> B.
