2012 Budget Adjustments Tally Sheet Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-7 Police Dept Amendment-UASI Grant 031A 96,850 GGA-7 General Fund Amendment-UASI Grant 002A 96,850 Using Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funds, the Seattle Police Department in 2008 agreed to provide funding to the City of Everett for one contract Intelligence Analyst. This analyst, working under the direct supervision of the Everett Police Department, focuses on detecting and preventing terrorism and other related crime, such as importing illegal weapons, organized crime and criminal gangs, as well as protecting critical infrastructure. This Agreement provides an analytical capability within the northern region of the Seattle Urban Area, City of Everett and Snohomish County. No matching funds are required. Council approved Amendment No. 3 to the Interagency Agreement with the Seattle Police Department at the January 4, 2012,Council meeting. This amendment extended the term of the agreement through March 31, 2013, and increased the grant award by $96,850. The grant funds will be used to purchase the software, equipment and training needed to use the software. No matching funds are required. City Council approved acceptance of this award at the February 22, 2012, Council meeting.
