January 23, 2013 <br /> Council Member Gipson asked Council Member Roberts whether the <br /> Transportation Advisory Committee has discussed when the covered bus <br /> stops on Evergreen Way might be replaced. Council Member Roberts <br /> stated that he would take the question back to the TAC. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning a legal matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) and a real <br /> estate matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(b). The session is expected <br /> to last 15 minutes with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Sheriff John Lovick, Everett, expressed his admiration for Police Chief <br /> Atwood. He spoke regarding a new unit that is being established in the <br /> Snohomish County Sheriff's office called the School Services Unit. They <br /> will provide 8 to 10 full time deputies from their current resources and will <br /> be soliciting funding from various organizations. Deputies and retired <br /> police volunteers will rove from school to school in unincorporated <br /> Snohomish County to protect the students. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS: <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION — CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No. 6581 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the city of Everett in the amount of <br /> $2,553,824.00 for the period of January 5, 2013 through January 11, <br /> 2013. <br /> 25 <br />
