March 18, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., March 18, 2015 in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, President Bader presiding. Upon roll call it was <br /> found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, <br /> Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Member <br /> Moore was excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 11 , 2015 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Members Roberts and Gipson abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson remarked that he will be in Washington, DC, visiting <br /> the Pentagon on Navy and Coast Guard business next week and will not <br /> attend the City Council meeting. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Roberts and Gipson reported on their attendance at <br /> National League of Cities in Washington, DC. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher remarked that the City Council adopted <br /> Resolution No. 6828 on February 25, 2015, in support of the <br /> establishment of a Washington State University Medical School. She <br /> stated that she was on medical leave that day and would like to add her <br /> support of the resolution. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented on the fresh look of the City's <br /> new website and noted that there was no logo on the site. She <br /> questioned the status of the new City logo. CAA/CFO Debra Bryant <br /> stated that the logo committee will be reconvening soon to consider a <br /> proposal that the logo be turned on its side so that it won't have the same <br /> appearance as that of any other entity. <br /> Council Member Tuohy also commented on the look of the new website. <br /> 70 <br />
