• <br /> 2012 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-17 Police Dept Amendment-Bulletproof Vest Partnership 031A 20,475 <br /> GGA-17 General Fund Amendment-Bulletproof Vest Partnership 002A 20,475 <br /> The Bulletproof Vest Partnership(BVP),created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998,is a U.S. <br /> Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law enforcement. FY 2012 <br /> BVP funds became available earlier this year for purchase of compliant armored vests ordered on or after April 1, <br /> 2012. On June 7,2012,the Everett Police Department applied for funding to cover the maximum of fifty percent of <br /> the cost of 50 vests. The total cost of 50 vests is$40,950;therefore,the EPD applied for$20,475. The application <br /> was approved in full. <br /> Council authorized the Mayor to accept this award at the November 7,2012,Council meeting. <br /> Increase grant revenue 002 3311660031 20,475 <br /> Increase Police uniform budget 031 5220000260 20,475 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-18 Police Amendment-Traffic Safety Grant 031A 5,100 <br /> GGA-18 General Fund Amendment-Traffic Safety Grant 002A 5,100 <br /> The Washington Traffic Safety Commission(WTSC)provides funding for Snohomish County law enforcement <br /> agencies to conduct high visibility enforcement,traffic safety emphasis patrols,in support of Target Zero Teams <br /> priorities. The goal is to reduce traffic related deaths and serious injuries by engaging in multijurisdictional,high- <br /> visibility patrols in the areas of impaired driving and occupant protection(seat belts).
