Activities/Prosect Description <br /> The Subgrantee will be responsible for administering the Independent Living - Housing Support <br /> program in a manner satisfactory to the City and consistent with any standards required as a <br /> condition of providing these funds. Such program will include the following activities eligible under <br /> the Community Development Block Grant Program: <br /> Program Delivery <br /> Activity: <br /> [Complete description of activity to be undertaken including what projects,products or services are to be performed, <br /> where they are to be provided, for whom they are to be provided, how they are to be provided] <br /> 1. Facilitate the location of safe and affordable housing. <br /> 2. Assist(within reason) certain fees required by landlords for rental. <br /> 3. Educate the participant of tenant rights and responsibilities. <br /> 4. Advocate in the community on various boards and committees the needs of individuals with <br /> developmental disabilities and the barriers they face with housing and living independently in <br /> the community. <br /> 5. Provide stipport to ensure proper systems are in place for clients with developmental <br /> disabilities to retain housing. <br /> 6. Provide information/referral, systems navigation to other government entities as well as <br /> building partnerships and working in collaboration with other agencies and established <br /> programs. <br /> A-1 <br />
