RESOLUTION NO. 6088 <br /> A Resolution declaring the City owned real property located at 2919 Hoyt Ave, <br /> commonly known as the Hoyt Parking Garage, as surplus and authorizing its <br /> conveyance to Artspace Everett Limited Partnership. <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to surplus <br /> the real property legally described as: LOTS 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 AND 12,BLOCK 682,PLAT <br /> OF EVERETT, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 3 of Plats, Page 32,records of <br /> Snohomish County, Washington, for the purpose of allowing Artspace Everett Limited <br /> Partnership in cooperation with the Arts Council of Snohomish County to construct a new <br /> Everett Regional Arts Center in downtown Everett, and <br /> Whereas, the proposed Everett Regional Arts Center would provide gallery and exhibit <br /> space, classroom/work shop space, a new home for the Arts Council, and units of <br /> affordable live/work space for artists and their families; and <br /> Whereas, review of the real property located at 2919 Hoyt Ave has been completed by all <br /> City Departments and has received approval of the Mayor; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council finds and determines that the real property at 2919 <br /> Hoyt Avenue, which is the property that is the subject of this Resolution, is not and will <br /> not be needed for City purposes and is therefore surplus to the City's needs; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that an Agreement between the City and <br /> Artspace Everett Limited Partnership for the conveyance of the of the real property at <br /> 2919 Hoyt Ave has been negotiated for the purposes described above; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that the City is acting in compliance with the <br /> City Charter and Ordinance No. 2935-06; <br />
