RESOLUTION NO. 6088 A Resolution declaring the City owned real property located at 2919 Hoyt Ave, commonly known as the Hoyt Parking Garage, as surplus and authorizing its conveyance to Artspace Everett Limited Partnership. Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to surplus the real property legally described as: LOTS 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 AND 12,BLOCK 682,PLAT OF EVERETT, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 3 of Plats, Page 32,records of Snohomish County, Washington, for the purpose of allowing Artspace Everett Limited Partnership in cooperation with the Arts Council of Snohomish County to construct a new Everett Regional Arts Center in downtown Everett, and Whereas, the proposed Everett Regional Arts Center would provide gallery and exhibit space, classroom/work shop space, a new home for the Arts Council, and units of affordable live/work space for artists and their families; and Whereas, review of the real property located at 2919 Hoyt Ave has been completed by all City Departments and has received approval of the Mayor; and Whereas, the Everett City Council finds and determines that the real property at 2919 Hoyt Avenue, which is the property that is the subject of this Resolution, is not and will not be needed for City purposes and is therefore surplus to the City's needs; and Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that an Agreement between the City and Artspace Everett Limited Partnership for the conveyance of the of the real property at 2919 Hoyt Ave has been negotiated for the purposes described above; and Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that the City is acting in compliance with the City Charter and Ordinance No. 2935-06;
