His first �, hearing is scheduled for December 4, 1980 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Councii ;, � ir Chambers. r�` , It is important that this new hearing process gets off to a good start, so please see „�;. that the right members of your staff attend the hearing to answer any engineeri�g related questions. Ideally, one person would represent the Public �l�c,rks Department at these hearings, but until some of the staff vacancies are filled it may be necessary to have more than one attend. It is also critical that the staff respond in a timely manner to any requests for comments coming from the Planning Department. The time line that has been established for the review of projects going before the Examiner is extremely tight and late comments cannot be included in the formal packets being presented to the Examiner. He has also indicated that if a quescion is raised during a hearing tha: is �ot adequately answered, the staff has three to four working days to provide a �vritten answer to the question. It will take a major commitment of staff time to provide the Examiner with the information he needs to make well founded dec isions. Please have staff that you feel should attend, ad_dress traffic, drainage, soils conditions, and any other engineering issues that relate to the View Ridge School and Harry Matthews Rezone.
