i "
Element 412: Manage the Project
a) This is not a development project. No land clearing or grading are proposed for
this project. The existing landscaping and lawn in the construction zone around
Building 4 will be retained as much as possible. Erosion of sediment at this site
will be minimal.
b) No trees are being proposed to be removed. The only work on the exterior of the
building is to se new roof trusses and to install new windows, wall sheathing and
siding at the northerly portion of the building that will be performed from either
fixed scaffolding of pump jacks. This will result in minimal impact to existing
landscaping and lawn areas.
c) Since the construction work will occur between October 1 and April 30, soil
disturbing activities will be minimized. Existing vegetation will be retained in the
construction zone throughout the project along with proposed erosion and
sedimentation controls (silt fence) will significantly reduce the potential for any
silt -laden runoff to occur during this project.
d) The project engineer will review the condition of the erosion and sedimentation
control facilities on a regular basis when at the site. The contractor will maintain
and repair as needed the temporary erosion and sedimentation control facilities as
directed by the project engineer.
14037B C-SWPPP Narrative
0 • 1
