c) Any heavy equipment brought to the site will be in a proper working order and <br />not damage the site from spillage onto the ground or into stormwater runoff. The <br />contractor will be responsible for promptly cleaning any areas where spillage <br />occurs. <br />d) No application of agricultural chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides will occur <br />throughout the construction project and until all permanent stormwater facilities <br />are placed back into final permanent operation. <br />e) Concrete handling BMP's shall be employed by the contractor to treat stormwater <br />runoff using pH modifying sources. This includes new concrete washing and <br />curing waters and waste streams generated by concrete grinding and sawcutting, <br />exposed aggregate processes and concrete pumping and mixer washout waters. <br />Stormwater discharges shall not violate water quality standards for pH in <br />receiving waters. <br />f) Only COz or dry ice will only be used adjust pH. <br />g) BMP C 151: The contractor will utilize concrete handling measures for limited <br />concrete work required on -site. <br />BMP C 152: The contractor will utilize sawcutting and surface pollution <br />prevention BMP measures when required. <br />Element #10: Control Dewatering <br />a) Foundation or trench dewatering work is not planned for this construction project. <br />In the event foundation or trench dewatering becomes necessary, the water <br />discharged from the foundation or trench will be discharged to a waste truck and <br />removed from the site. <br />b) The use of a sedimentation bag is permitted for small volumes of localized <br />dewatering. <br />Element #11: Maintain BMP's <br />a) All temporary erosion and sedimentation control BMP's will be maintained and <br />repaired throughout the course of the repair project. <br />b) All temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures will be removed from <br />the site within 30 days of the completion of the repair project and placing the <br />existing drainage system back into full and proper operation. <br />14037B C-SWPPP Narrative <br />
