Please see below for a
description of corrections along with a corrected set of architectural and structural drawings
with clouded changes.
Life Safety
1.) The windows in the south stair enclosure have been removed and the door has been
changed to have a 2hr rated protected opening. See revised door schedule A9.02,
revised plans (note: these windows were not shown in the elevations by mistake).
2.) See sheet A5.03 for revised stair plans, details, and requirements.
• A Stair rise and run diagram is provided on sheet A5.02 showing a 7" max rise 4"
min., and 11" minimum tread depth, final rise and run to be finalized during
construction but shall not exceed the minimums or maximums described on
sheet A5.02. The expected rise/run is a 7" riser height and 12" tread depth.
• Landings are noted as 44" minimum see sheet A5.03 for typical dimensions. The
landing is noted as being not less than the width of the stair.
• Structural support for all stairs has been noted as requiring a minimum support
of 100PSF, and will be detailed to achieve this requirement in the structural
drawings.
• Type V-B allows for any construction materials allowed by code — stairs are to be
constructed of wood stringers (per structural) and covered with 5/8" GWB.
Walls are per plan (2hr enclosure).
• Handrail dimensions are noted on sheet A5.02, and shown on A5.03.
 • Continuity of the fire barrier is shown/noted on the stair sections, refer to sheet
A5.03. Floor construction shall not continue into the stair enclosure.
3.) The wall assembly table(s) have been updated to show the correct assemblies see plan
sheets A2.00 — A2.05.
4.) Parapet details are provide on sheet A6.04, and noted on A2.06. Note: Per 705.11
Exceptions 4 and 5 a parapet is not required as a class B roofing material has been
provided, and the wall terminates at the underside of the roof framing refer to detail on
A6.04. For aesthetic reasons a parapet has been used.
1208 Tenth Street, Suite 201, Snohomish, WA 98290
