November 16, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., November 16, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Moore, <br /> Murphy, Bader, and Stonecipher were present. Council Members Roberts, <br /> Franklin, and Tuohy were excused. <br /> Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 9, 2016, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson announced that Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Marshal <br /> Eric Hicks will be the next fire chief following the retirement of Chief <br /> Murray Gordon. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> President Murphy announced the addition of a time-sensitive street <br /> closure for Council approval. <br /> Moved by President Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher, to approve the following: <br /> STREET CLOSURE — THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE <br /> To authorize the closure of Colby Avenue between 24th Street and <br /> 25th Street on November 22, 2016, from 4:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for <br /> Everett High School's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive sponsored <br /> by the Everett High School Leadership. <br /> 370 <br />
