Message-----
From: iCevin Fagerstrom
Sent: ldednesday, March 19, 2014 2:19 PM
To; Ted Budden
Subject: 4192 Friday
Ted,
Tony told me that the grocery store was opening and asked me fia pay a visit. They were in
fact, open For busa.ness. They had cases of fruits and vegetabl.es out on display. The staff
there had no idea what was going on, but they ca].led the owner aut from home. They not only
have started to install the walk-in ouside, they have instal].ed additional refrigeration
equa.pment a.nside and have run new conduit and power to numerous boxes within the store, When
the new operator arrived, he told me that the "bui).ding department" told him that it was okay
to start operating, I asked who, and he showed me an e-mail front Meg. The e-mai7. said notha.ng
oF the sort. Tt told them o apply for permits and spelled out the rules. He then took me
back fio the panel and showed me an electrical permit from the city. The permit number was
E1309-017. 7he ermit saict clearly that it was only for the new panel, He continued to offer
excuses and additi.anal reasons why he believe that fie could operate. I stopped him and made
it very clear that he could not operate until he had a CO and that could not liappen unti]. he
obtained perrnits and inspections and approvals. I fiold hin that if the store atentpted to
apen again, that we vrould condenn it and ca11 the poJ.i.ce o enforce it. At that point his
enor changed a bifi and he said that he undersood. He di.rected the staff to pack everything
up and he shut off the li.ghts. He should be down to see you saon. I wili check it daily,
Kevin
Your message is ready to be sent with the following fi].e or link attachments:
IMG_1385.jpg
IMG 1386.jpg
IMG_1382,jpg
IMG 1383.jpg
IMG_1384.jpg
Not; To protect against computer viruses, e-mai.l prograins niay prevent sendi.ng or receivi.n
cerain types of file attachnents.
