If you cloose not to restore the structure to meet the miiimum building code
recliirements, I have listed two additional optios below which meet zoning code requirements.
1) The residence may be demolished. If choosing this option, the accessory buildings, which include
the garage and small netal storage shed, will also be required to be removed. The zouing code
does ot allow for accessoty structures to be established without a primay dwelling (Everett
Mwicipal Code 19.07.020.A. A variance cannot be obtained to retaii the accessoy structlres as
that constitutes a"variance fi-om a use standard", wllich is not permitted per the variace section
of the zoning code (CMC 19.41.130.D.1).
2) The residence may be demolished and aew residence built in its place.
Yoii can reach me directly to discuss these options fu-ther by email at riveldon cr everettwa.gov or by
phone at 425.257.7281. Questions regarding building codes and meeting IPMC standards may be
discussed with Jeff 1-leilman at 425.257.8810.
Siicerely,
— `'-'

Teresa Weldon
Associate Planner
cc: Don Cunningham, Code Enforcement Unit
Tony Lee, Building Official
(_l: 2930 Wetmore Aveiiue, Suite 8-A, verett, WA 98?O1-4044 1 425?57.5731, C'aa 425.257.8742
