These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the Stafie of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested, along with a reduced set of plans no larger than 11" x 17". 1. The application as submitted does not clearly define the scope of the work to be performed. 2. Specify what work is being done to the roof, for example: tear ofF existing roofing, replace sheathing, new sheathing over existing skip sheathing, new 15# builders felt new asphalt composition roofing. (indicate if any roof rafters are being repaired and/ or replaced) 3. Specify U-value (energy efficiency) of all new door(s) and window(s). 4. Provide floor plan (1/4" = 1'-0" scale) showing the use of all spaces i.e. Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Bedroom, Bathroom etc. 5. Provide smoke alarms per R314 International Residential Code (IRC) show on floor plan. 6. Provide source specific ventilation; exhaust fans, Kitchen 100 CFM (may be in range hood vented to the exterior). Bathroom 50 CFM, vented to the outside (VTOS), Laundry Room 50 CFM (VTOS).
