Ted Budden
From: Meg Haley
Sent: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 1:23 PM
To: Ted Budden
Cc: Paul McKee
Subject: Complaint to be forwarded to Code Enforcement
RE: Request to forward to Hearing Examiner
Ted,
I have collected the following information for you. Please relay this information to Code Enforcement: the
accessibility of on-site parking facilities for the multifamily multi-building (11 buildin apartment complex
addressed as 805 112th St SE.
Following is an outline of building department findings and observations about this parking lot:
1. The use is identified in both County tax and City permit records as commercial use, multi-family.
2. The buildings and parking lot designs were originally permitted in 1988, and then expanded in 1990,
according to permit records.
3. Construction has already occurred (in the past) to modify the parking, without permits. A new striping
project is planned for this summer by the owner's representative, Mr. Doug Vodder of Greystar.
4. A complaint about the lack of accessible parking was received on March 12, 2013.
5. A field review was done by a City of Everett Traffic Technician on May 21, 2013.
6. A corrections letter was sent to the owner's representative on June 25, 2013 to require a building
permit to show revisions required to provide accessible parking per current code.
7. Revisions or additions to the permit submittal may be required by other departments (such as Utilities,
Planning or Fire).
8. Please start the enforcement action on this properly so that a clear deadline can be established for the
completion of the scope of work under the complaint record W1305-010.
9. The owners representative, Mr. Doug Vodder, has been very cooperative, and can be reached at 206-
979-5345, or by e-mail at dvodder@greystar.com
Thank you,
Meg
it1eg I-itley, tCAR3 ; ' f' iI;i ", _ _. _
C1,., of Lrtt ._ _ ,.. _, - mhaley@everettwa.ov
