The accessible parking stalls and Iocations originally permitted have been <br />modified and reduced, To comply wit11 current code, a new parking striping pfan should be <br />submit�ed for permit application, to comply with the 2009 Iniernational Building Code, if <br />submitied by June 28�', or the 2012 International Building Code if submitted on or after .7ufy 1�. <br />General <br />An alteration should nat reduce the accessibifity of a building, portion af a building or facility <br />below the leve! of accessibility required for new construction, per the 2009 Internafiional <br />Building Code (IBC) section 3411.3. <br />1. On 5/21, an inspection slip was sent to the site ofFice of the apartment complex, noting <br />that new stalls were added, and accessible parking stalls were removed, based on the <br />drawings submitted for permit in 1990. The site observation by a City of Everett Traffiic <br />Technician, comparing the site to the last approved drawings, indicated that: <br />a. Four new stalls were added. <br />b. Five stalls w�re removed. <br />c. One accessible stall was relocated. <br />d. Five accessible stalls were removed. <br />e. Two new stalls were created by narrawing spaces. <br />2. The total stafls at the time of the last permit were 192, with seven accessible stalls <br />pravided. A new building permiC is required for the striping of revisions since the last <br />permit, to comply with curren� applicable codes. <br />Accessibility <br />1. The number of accessible parking spaces required should be shown to comply with ISC <br />section 1106.2 by summarized parking count and location in plan on the drawings. <br />2. For every six {or fraction of six) accessible parkir�g spaces, one van accessible parking <br />space is required, per IBC section i106.5. <br />
